Dr. Totti Könnölä, Impetu Solutions, totti.konnola@impetusolutions.com

Totti is Managing Director of Impetu Solutions, a foresight and innovation consultancy with the offices in Madrid, Spain. He has held various senior consulting, research and policy advisory positions, in particular in the JRC Institute for Prospective Technological Studies of the European Commission, VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, Helsinki University of Technology, IE Business School and Gaia Group Ltd. He is also Adjunct Professor on Operations Management in IE Business School and Associate Professor on Industrial Policy and Technology in ICAI, Comillas Pontifical University. He holds Dr.Tech and Lic.Tech in Systems Analysis and Operations Research from Helsinki University of Technology (Aalto University, since 2010) and MSc. in Environmental Economics from Helsinki University.

Prof. Raija Koivisto, VTT, raija.koivisto@vtt.fi

Prof. Raija Koivisto has over 25 years’ experience in research, development, teaching and consulting in safety and foresight related topics. Her current research is focused in integrating safety and security issues with  foresight and future research studies. Current activities include national, European and international research, development and consulting activities concerning security, safety and foresight – current special areas of activity are weak signals in mass transport and the economical evaluation of safety. She is a member of several related networks.

M.Sc. Mikko Dufva, VTT, mikko.dufva@vtt.fi

Mikko is a research engineer at VTT. He is currently working on his PhD on the nature and creation of foresight knowledge focusing especially on visualization and experiential aspects and turning “big data” into meaningful knowledge. He has previously worked on collaborative water resource management at the Finnish Environment Institute. He has an M.Sc. in Systems Analysis and Operations Research from Aalto University. Mikko has experience in explaining and exploring data and models with a diverse set of stakeholders. He has broad methodological expertise ranging from systems thinking, decision analysis and optimization to interactive planning, scenario analysis and participatory methods.

Christian Peña-Ratinen, Fingroup, christian.pena-ratinen@fingroup.fi

Christian is the director of his project management and consultancy company focusing in innovation processes, science and technology evaluations, and technology business development. He has lived and worked in Latin America for five years, and has consulted Chilean Innovation Council and Peruvian Government on policy for public research organizations, and has researched on innovation systems, clusters, and related public policies.  Christian has a MSc. in Public Policy for Science, Technology, and Innovation from SPRU, University of Sussex.
